September is usually the month where Apple hosts one of the most anticipated events in technology unveiling it’s flagship products of the year. Traditionally, these events take place in a packed Steve Jobs Theater near Apple Park in Cupertino, California, but this time due to the pandemic the company went completely virtual. The event following the drill starts with Tim Cook greeting and welcoming everybody and later going on to announce…
Apple Watch Series 6
The new generation of Apple Watch keeps the same design as that of Series 4 and Series 5 models, but with internal improvements and new finishes — including the addition of an oximeter sensor. It will be available in 40mm and 44mm with an always-on Retina display.
Apple has also launched an array of new watch bands alongside the Apple Watch Series 6, including the new Solo Loop (as shown in the picture below). It comes in a smooth and braided version.
Apple Watch Series 6 will be available in stores with prices starting at $399. Pre order starts today and shipping on Friday in the United States and other countries. While in India, (GPS) starts at Rs 40,900 and (GPS Cellular) starts at Rs 49,900.
In my opinion, it will be a worthy upgrade only for people using Series 1 or 2 of the watch since there aren’t much differences in Apple Watch Series 6 and other recent models.
Apple Watch SE
Apple today introduced the new Apple Watch SE. The new Apple Watch SE has the same design as the Apple Watch Series 4 and later, but it comes with the S5 chip and watchOS 7 preinstalled.
The new Apple Watch SE will be available in 40mm and 44mm with GPS and Cellular versions. It will start at Rs 29,900 (GPS) and Rs 33,900 (GPS + Cellular). While in US, it will be available with prices starting at $279.
Its a perfect addition for entry level users. With this Apple tends to target larger audience.
With Apple Fitness+ users can stream workout classes at home, or on the go. Apple will add new workouts on a weekly basis, with a variety of ‘world-class’ instructors. The classes will be accompanied by appropriate music, and users can save their playlists to Apple Music too. Apple Fitness+ will integrate with the Apple Watch and the Fitness app on the iPhone. Available later this year at $9.99 per month, or $79.99 per year. No word on the India availability as of now.
The Apple One bundle, comprises of subscriptions from Apple’s services namely Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, iCloud, Apple News+ and the newly-announced Apple Fitness+ as well into one easy subscription. At the first glance, it totally looks like a money saver to me. Coming later this year with free 30 days trial for new subscribers.
8th generation iPad
Apple today announced the 8th-generation iPad, featuring an A12 chip compared to the previous-generation’s A10 processor. The design of the new entry-level iPad is largely the same as its predecessor. It’s just a mere update to the product capabilities.
The 8th-generation iPad keeps the same price as the 7th-gen: that’s $329 and will be available starting Friday in the United States and other countries. Talking about India it will have a starting price of Rs 29,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 41,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model in 32GB and 128GB configurations.
Apple has officially unveiled its latest iPad Air, bringing an all-new design with an edge-to-edge display. For the first time on an Apple product Touch ID is located in the power button. In India, it will be available in October with Wi-Fi models starting Rs 54,900 and Wi-Fi + Cellular models starting at Rs 66,900 in 64GB and 256GB configurations.
It is the perfect choice for people planning to buy an iPad as it is one of the most advanced iPad till now. Totally recommended!!!
Apple announced today that iOS 14, iPadOS14 and watchOS 7 will be released to the public on September 16.
The event may have talked about all these things but the announcement that everyone was majorly looking upto was seen to take a miss. Following the rumor mill closely I can say iPhone 12 will be announced as soon as in October. So no need to be disheartened.
